Wimborne Towm 1 Minus Magenta V1 1200x674

Nestled in the heart of East Dorset on the banks of the rivers Allen and Stour, Wimborne Minster was founded in the Saxon period and is home to some of the best collections of historic buildings from the 16th to 18th centuries in Dorset, including the town’s centrepiece, the  Minster Church of St. Cuthburga (the Minster) and the Priest’s House Museum (Museum of East Dorset)

Today the town is full of independent shops, pubs and cafes, and independent venues including the Tivoli Theatre, the Allendale Community Centre and Wimborne Model Town Gardens. The Town Council is proud of its civic heritage and as well as delivering numerous events throughout the year we also support an amazing range of events from music, arts and food festivals to open gardens, markets, a winter carnival and Christmas lights switch on
