Council and Committees

The Town Council conducts the majority of business through a structure of six main meetings: Council and five Committees. Each of these will meet on a regular basis throughout the year. All Council and Committee meetings are open to the public and the agendas and minutes of meetings are published on this website.

Members of the public may request to speak at meetings, regarding items which are on that meeting agenda. Members of the public shall have a right to speak for no more than 3 minutes at meetings of the Council and its Committees.

Any queries or comments regarding items not on the meeting agenda cannot be discussed and should be put in writing to the Town Clerk.

Occasionally some agenda items may be restricted. This is usually due to commercial sensitivity (e.g. award of contracts), legal or insurance related proceedings or staffing matters.
