Wimborne Minster has been awarded Dorset’s Town of Culture 2026 following a highly competitive process from four shortlisted towns in Dorset.
Our theme, ‘Bridging the Past and Future’, will deliver a year-long programme of events and activities that will strengthen our community and improve access to culture for everyone. We will combine heritage and traditions with innovative technologies and create a programme of events that appeal to residents and visitors of all ages.
Dorset’s Town of Culture was established by Arts Development Company and is partially funded by Dorset Council and the Town Council.
We are working on setting up a separate website for our Town of Culture 2026 – as soon as its ready we will let you know.
