Town Mayor's Civic Thanksgiving Service – Held on Sunday 12th March 2023

On Sunday 12^th March 2023 the Town Mayor of Wimborne Minster, Cllr Carol Butter, hosted her Civic Thanksgiving Service in The Minster. It was attended by Civic Dignitaries from many towns and parishes.

There was a short parade from Church House to The Minster, which was represented by many local organisations displaying their standard and The Quarterjacks of Wimborne Band.

The service was led by Reverend Canon Andrew Rowland. The Town Mayor mentioned how grateful she was for the many celebrations/events that she had been privileged to attend/take part in. She also made a heartfelt tribute to the volunteer sector in the Town and surrounding areas.

After the service, Alex Compiani gave a short talk at Church House about The Militia while all guests enjoyed a cup of tea, sandwiches and a slice of cake.
