Wimborne Minster Volunteer Awards 2025

A message from the Town Mayor

This award recognises and rewards an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Town of Wimborne Minster and its residents. The individual will have demonstrated exceptional commitment as a volunteer.

I would like to invite nominations for this award, the winner of which will receive a personal trophy.

The winner will be invited to the annual Mayor Making event on 27th May 2025.

Do you know someone in Wimborne Minster who deserves recognition for their outstanding volunteer work? Nominate them today!

Nomination Criteria

We’re looking for exceptional volunteers who have made a significant difference to our community.

Examples may include:

Starting up or running a local community project or event
Increasing charitable fundraising within Wimborne Minster
Extensive involvement in a successful voluntary or not-for-profit project or group
Volunteering which has had an exceptional positive influence on an individual or group
This award is open to volunteers of all ages who live within the area of Wimborne Minster.

What to Include in Your Nomination

Please provide the following information:

Why is this person being nominated?
How many years have they been volunteering?
What is the impact of their commitment locally, nationally, or internationally?
How have they demonstrated outstanding commitment to their unpaid activity?
What long-lasting benefits have resulted for our community?
What positive results and achievements can you highlight?
