This week has seen a hive of activity by Members of Wimborne in Bloom as the summer planting up of the Town has taken place.   On one of the hottest days of the year so far over 150 Hanging Baskets and several window boxes have been put up, help with their erection being given by the Town Council Groundsmen. The Baskets were provided by Beecroft Nurseries. Dutch Touch planted up nearly 90 planters and a dozen Flower Towers and they will water these from now until the end of the summer. We hope that all this will give a good display of colour throughout  the main areas of the Town to well into the autumn.

The funds raised from the various events organised throughout the year by Wimborne in Bloom fund all the planting which is carried out both in the summer and in the autumn with help from the Businesses who kindly have the hanging baskets on their premises. Wimborne in Bloom is a completely Voluntary run Charity and donations are always welcome so that we can continue to maintain the high standards we have for now over 30 years.

Our website: www.wimborneinbloom.org.uk   contains details of all our events and indeed how you can support us. We are indeed grateful to all those  who do so.

Our next event is the Open Gardens Day on Sunday 25th June when 22 Gardens will be open in and around the Town. They will be well signposted. Pay £7.50 at the first Garden visited and this will cover for all gardens, This event will be followed by the ever popular Annual Duck Race on Saturday 26th August.
